Things to Know About Fixed Blade Tactical Knives

Tactical knives such as the Aura Black TiNi and DEF TAC Pathfinder serve many purposes. They must be durable and able to accomplish its purpose quickly and without failure. The primary task is to allow the user to part one thing from another with one hand on the knife. Tactical knives began as close combat weapons for military operations, with origins surrounding dirks and daggers.  Soldiers brought their knife skills and tricks home with them. Whether it was prying open paint can lids, cutting a rope, or removing an unwanted branch from a bush, they found a use for their knife in civilian life. Soon, farmers, fishermen, and campers discovered that the outdoor environment offered many opportunities to use versatile fixed blade tactical knives like American Lawman.

Serrated fixed blade tactical knives are ideal when cutting tree branches and other rough surfaces not requiring a clean cut.  Plain blades give clean cuts. The OSI Single Edge, for instance, is hollow ground and has a keen, thin edge. It sticks, cuts, and slashes, useful to hunters and hikers. The OSI has sectioned, field dressed, and skinned many animals satisfactorily and is regarded as extremely efficient.
